Every time you make a choice in life, the question, ‘Is God in it?’ should be foremost in your mind.
The answer to this determines whether you will win or lose in whatever endeavour you embark on.
In our theme scripture, the children of Israel learnt the hard way what it means to make a step without the approval of the Lord.
Moses clearly told them that God would not be among them if they bothered to go up and fight their enemies. They did not listen and suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Amelekites and Canaanites.
You want to travel out of the country and start a new life in another nation, is God in it?
You want to change jobs because your current boss acts like a slave driver, is God in it?
You want to get married to a brother who seems to tick all the right boxes, but is God in it?
This must be a yardstick against which you make choices in life. Hallelujah!
