1 Corinthians 3:1-3 (KJV): And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

There are characters, mannerisms and behaviours that cannot co-exist with certain graces.
We learn this sobering truth from our theme scripture. Paul desired to impart and teach deeper spiritual truths and realities to the Corinthian church but was constrained because of envy, strife and divisions among them.
Even today, God may want to elevate a man to greater heights but is held back because the man is immature. He still envies fellow men, sows seeds of strife and has a divisive tongue.
In His infinite mercy, the Lord would rather deprive you of increase than give it to you when it is bound to destroy you and the many others who would come under your influence.
Sometimes, stagnation is because one has not transcended past certain carnalities and as such cannot be trusted with greater portions of his divine inheritance.
Be it far from you, child of God.
Never allow yourself to be a stumbling block to God’s work in your life. Allow Him to break, bend and teach you until He can work in and with you absolutely unhindered.
Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: Never allow yourself to be a stumbling block to God’s work in your life. Allow Him to break, bend and teach you until He can work in and with you absolutely unhindered.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank You for this truth. I know that You have great and marvellous plans for my life. Lord help my heart, examine it and help that part which relates with You. There is no life worth living except that which You give me. It is eternal, purposeful, redeeming, defining and transforming. Cause me to break before You, to be available for You, all the days of my life, to pay every cost that I may decrease so You increase, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
